Friday 5(ish)

Updated: Jan 26

Surprise! Posting 2 days in a row! I am not the best at blogging. Coming up with topics that don't feel like I am constantly trying to sell something. I came across a creator, The Happy Kim on Instagram who does a lot of mixed media work that makes me really happy. I signed up for her newsletter where she sends out a weekly "5 Things Happy Mail" where she shares things that are making her happy. I have thought about a newsletter, but that is just not where my brain is at. I thought maybe I could do blog posts, that seemed like it was doable. Starting out I am going to post things that have caught my attention, whether it is music, art, fellow creators I like, books I am reading. Whatever strikes my fancy.

  1. Song - Jericho by Iniko

This song was all over my tiktok several months ago and I am still obsessed. I have been known to put it on repeat while working.

2. Journaling

I have fallen down a youtube rabbit hole of types of journaling. From really beautiful art journals to basic bullet journals, I am obsessed. I am still trying to find my style and what works for me. I just got myself a really pretty green Bullet Journal. I am very excited to start writing in it. I figure it is not going to be pretty to start, but I just have to keep working on it.

3. Adam Savage's Tested

One of my favorite things is people who are so excited about what they love that they practically vibrating when they share with them with you. Adam is one of those people. Not only is he excited to share what he loves, he is equally excited when other people share their passions with him. Lately he has been sharing videos from Earl Hay's Press, and as a paper junky watching Adam go through boxes and boxes and boxes of paper is just a delight. I highly recommend his videos.

4. Snacks - Goldfish Crips Sour Cream & Onion

These are just tasty. I also got the Cheddar ones, but I have not tried them yet.

5. Pens - Uni-ball Signo Gel pens

Along with paper, I love trying out new pens. Several artists I follow recommended the Uni-Ball Signo pens and I have to say they are lovely. Highly recommend them.

Wow, I made it. I hope you enjoyed the first 5. What are some of the things you are obsessed with this week?
